The Fluted Giant Clam, Tridacna squamosa, is one of a number of large clam species native to the shallow coral reefs of the South Pacific and Indian Oceans. It is distinguished by the presence of large leaf-like fluted edges on its shell called 'scutes' which are often used as shelter by organisms such as small crabs, clams and other invertebrates. Normal colouration of the mantle ranges from browns and purples to greens, blues and yellows which are arranged in elongated linear or spot-like patterns. The two-part shell has 5-6 rows of deep open flutes on the valves. The wavy shell opening faces the sunlight, while the hinged side is firmly attached to rocks or coral rubble in relatively shallow water near living reefs.

The Derasa Clam (Tridacna derasa) is the second-largest clam of the Tridacna clams. It is also one of the easier clams to care for. This clam can grow to about 20 inches in captivity. They typically have a brown gold coloration with white stripes or spots. It may also have bright blue along the outline of the mantel.

Bear Claw Clams are found over intertidal areas in shallow waters of lagoons, barrier and fringing reefs. They feed on plankton and are highly variable in colour. Widespread Indo-West Pacific

Cebu's are bivalves. They have a top shell and a matching bottom shell hinged together by ligaments. Cebu's are found in the Indo-Pacific region. This shell has given rise to a thriving industry across the Philippines. Clams are bivalve molluscs, or only those that live as infauna, spending most of their lives partially buried in the sand of the ocean floor. They have two shells of equal size connected by two adductor muscles and have a powerful burrowing foot. They are not attached to a substrate (like oysters and mussels) and do not live near the bottom (like scallops). In culinary usage, clams are commonly eaten marine bivalves, as in clam digging and the resulting soup, clam chowder. Clams range in adult size from nearly microscopic to the giant clam, which can weigh 200 kg (440 lb). Some have life cycles of only one year, while at least one may be over 500 years old. All clams have two calcareous shells or valves joined near a hinge with a flexible ligament, and all are filter feeders. Not coated with anything so can go in aquarium. Totally natural. Perfect for a hall or entry table. A fish tank. This item is limited only by your imagination. It is natural. Price is per each pair.

Most Bivalves are permanently anchored in fissures or depressions in the rock surface of the reef, some may become covered in algae and other marine life.  Other Bivalves swim free, either by a well developed foot or propelled along by a jet of water from their mantle cavity.
